A Concert of Classical Choral Singing and Instrumental Music

Old Choristers Josh Saunders and Alex Stefanyszyn, with the assistance of Gloucester Cathedral’s organ scholar William Peart, are giving a concert of classical music this Saturday 21 November 2015 between 11am and 12 noon in the Chapter House, in aid of raising funds to undertake volunteer work in Borneo.

Further details can be found in their poster here.

Their programme of music currently includes tenor pieces from Caccini, Handel, Schubert, and Purcell, with violin pieces from Massenet, Brahms, Vivaldi and Abreu.

There will be refreshments available with any ticket purchased.

Alison Charter

It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the passing of Alison Charter, treasured wife of Colin. As well as being by Colin’s side on many occasions, we remember Alison’s support for our Association and of her tireless generosity in giving her time and kindness to the Cathedral in so many ways. This is a very sad time and our thoughts and prayers are with Colin.

Alison’s funeral will take place in the Cathedral on the 23rd November at 1200 mid-day. Old Choristers are very welcome, but should you plan to attend, please do let Colin know, either directly, or via the Association Secretary by email (secretary@gcoca.co.uk).
